YWAM TRIBAL WINDS BASE

Our YWAM Tribal Winds Base consists of two locations. One is our Flagstaff location off of Leupp Road, which is also the gateway to the Hopi and Navajo Nations. Our Flagstaff Base is where we currently run our schools, our Tribal Winds Food Pantry, host teams and volunteers, and have most of our events.  Our Flagstaff Base is also where our prayer room is located and where most of our staff live.  The second is our Outreach Base located in the Hopi Village of Kykostmovi. We have two locations in Kykostmovi.  Our Outreach Base is where we host teams, provide water and a safe place to shower for the Hopi community. We also have our Hopi House which is currently being used by the Hopi Foundation as a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

Our Flagstaff Base

Sitting at 6200 ft in elevation, just 20 minutes from downtown Flagstaff, on nearly 12 acres surrounded by junipers is where most of our staff calls home.  Our Student Center can comfortably sleep 25 people whether it be a team on outreach or students attending one of our schools.  This location is home to The House of Prayer for Every Nation, the Tribal Winds Food Pantry, and the Tribal Winds Service Ministry.

Our Outreach Base

Our Outreach Base is located a little over an hour from our Flagstaff Base in the Hopi village of Kykostmovi on Third Mesa in Hopiland. It looks and feels like a whole different nation when we're out there, because it is! It's the Hopi Nation!  Our Outreach Base can accommodate a team of 30 comfortably which includes three separate couples/leaders rooms. This location is also used by our Hopi friends who do not have running water to their homes.  We have an outdoor shower that they can use as well as a place to fill up their water jugs.

The Hopi House

The Hopi House is also located in the village of Kykostmovi. It is currently being used by The Hopi Foundation as a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. There is also an apartment attached soon to be home of the Natwani Coalition, working to reaffirm and preserve traditional farming practices to create a healthy lifestyle in developing sustainable strategies that promote wellness.
